Hey everyone, here are my first impressions of the new patch. I did a 5 part series. Things have changed a bit since then, but it is still a good first impression. Most of the major bugs have been fixed.
Part One
This week I’m doing a shameless promotion of my own video. It’s the first time I’ve made my own a VOTW, and it probably won’t happen again (unless I do something awesome.)
Without further ado: here it is!
With the new update comes new recipes! I have updated the crafting page with “Door” and will add more as more are found. I have also made it easier to find by adding it directly to the navigation bar on the left! Enjoy! To see the full recipe list you can also click here.
There is a new version of Project Zomboid out for all of us who have paid for it. It is a test version that still has a few bugs, but it is really worth playing. You can really see all the improvement. For full details check the official blog post!
Lemmy was kind enough to post some news about new things that will be coming in patches AFTER this one (don’t expect these coming out this Sunday) but it looks good, and I’m excited to be playing the game in the coming weeks! Read the full post here.

As you know, I am the webmaster of pzguides. It may not be apparent to some of you, but I am an avid gamer. I love gaming, I have played games all my life, starting with an old atari and moving my way up as technology improved. My steam game list has over 130 games on it. That’s a lot of money. I spend at least 7 hours a week gaming, and often many more than that. Why am I telling you this? So you will have an idea of where I come from when I talk about the new Indie way of developing games.
According to an official Indie Stone blog post that you can find here they will be releasing the update by Sunday August 28th at the latest! Hooray! I’m excited! Look forward to my first playthrough video series coming shortly after!
Gameshock TV did an Interview with The Indie Stone’s The Will Porter! (Wow that’s a lot of “the”) here it is! It is a little old (as you can see from the screenshots) but is still an interesting watch!
This week we have the very funny video Let’s Play Project Zomboid Pre-Alpha Demo (Blind Part 1) Sick People Don’t Eat by youtuber skythe1908
It is a very amusing first-time playthrough of Project Zomboid, and I recommend watching the rest of his series as well!
Sorry, I should have added this earlier, but it took me a while to find it!
We have just added a list of all the different recipes currently available in Project Zomboid. Check it out now!
This is a great guide by Connall that helps new players to settle in and understand the ins and outs of Project Zomboid. It gives you a good run through of the tutorial and explains all the important things about PZ. If you are a new player, this is a great place to start! Click here for the guide!
This new guide by orejitas teaches you how to make and add your own custom tiles to Project Zomboid.
