Sorry for the inactivity, I’ve been very busy with real life stuff. Going to be making some changes to the site in the next month or so. Hopefully going to streamline it to focus more on survival times and less on other stuff. I don’t have a lot of time to be keeping people informed of all the goings on of project zomboid, and I can’t do it as well as everyone else can. I’m going to simplify the site a lot, maybe just have some links to some of my better how to videos and stuff.
It has been a long wait, but RC3 had finally gone into closed testing. That means that we should be able to get our public hands on it… soonish. I hope everyone is still as excited about this game as I am.
I’m gonna have to make a new high score table. Mwa ha ha ha.
Hooray! Project Zomboid has been selected as one of the 10 first titles to be accepted for the Steam Greenlight project. It’s still a while from getting on steam, but thinks are moving forward… full steam ahead! To find out what needs to happen before we will be smashing zombies on steam check out lemmy’s post here.
This week we have a conclusion of a playthrough of the newest version by tokkencraft. I remember making the same kinds of mistakes. Ah to be a new player.
Hey everyone! Here’s a nice short video of the week made by Lpmraven1314. It is enjoyable even though it is a slightly older version than 0.2.0!
Hey everyone! Since there have been many changes to the combat system in 0.2.0r, I’ve added a new leaderboard and reset the top 5. Already someone has gone for more than 4 years! Wow! That’s gonna be tough to beat! Here’s the link to the latest leaderboard for all your high scores!
We’ve got a blast from the past this week… well sort of. It’s someone giving their first attempt at the demo! What can I say? I have a soft spot for new zomboid players! Enjoy watching SciFiGangster on his first several playthroughs! He dies often, and I’m sure many of you will remember dying the same way. Ahhhhh nostalgia!
This week we have a nice playthrough by MrGrummulk. Complete with a nice quote from Red vs Blue. Watch out the dialogue is a bit quiet so you’ll have to turn it up. A good representation of the game. Enjoy!
A quick video this week by one of the guys at DiametricGaming who learned the hard way how quickly infection can set in. He has an amusing way of narrating his video, so check out his other ones!
This week we have a video review by Travis aka techzombie225. He says he will be reviewing more games in the future, I think PZ is a good place to start, what do you guys think?
This week we have a short video by TheTrexable who learned a valuable lesson about not running around in the dark when there are zombies out and about. Hope to see more from him soon!
According to a post at the official blog we could be seeing a release of 0.2.0r complete with the new animations and combat mechanics in the next few days! Lets keep our fingers crossed. I will be adding a new leaderboard for r as the combat change is quite significant, so get your pre-r high scores up while you still can! There is also a video that you can see that shows the new combat and animation system in action! Looks really good!
Hey everyone! A short little video this week. I watched it, it made me laugh. I hope you enjoy it too! Thanks l7moneyman!
This week we have Ryan of Goddamnedgaming doing a playthrough (or two) of the older version of PZ. It was entertaining to watch, and I hope to see him doing a run of 0.2.0 in the future!
This week we have a nice modded version of 0.2.0 made by geobaldi5 he does a good job exploring the world, armed with his trusty wrench. Looking forward to the next part of his playthrough! Enjoy!
Hey everyone! I’ve switch webhosts, so hopefully you will see an improvement in the loading times of my website! Let me know if you have noticed a difference! Thanks!
Seems that The Indie Stone has been putting in a lot of hard work during this Easter weekend, as you can see by this YouTube video (watch it on High Quality!) Sure, everyone’s in their underwear right now, but DAMN they look more fluid. Throw some random clothes and hair on those zombies and BAM. Everything will look a hundred million times better than it did last week. Hot damn The Indie Stone is good. Good work guys (and girl!)
With the testing of 0.2.0 in some pretty impressive stages, it seems that many people have been worried about the large gap between the system requirements of the current demo and the actual system requirements of the game in its current form. (more…)
